Introduction:
Volunteer vacations and eco expeditions (expeditions with a conservational theme). Our ambition is to create a portfolio of in our view the most exciting and worthwhile volunteer and eco safaris and Tours in Uganda. Our ambitions are set very high and we believe we have the potential to handle qualified travelers who would like to participate in environmental and conservation tours and safaris in Uganda. We promise to organize this most amazing and enjoyable trip in Uganda for you! We will make sure that you experienced only the best of the very best Uganda's hospitality can offer as per the itinerary below:-
Day One: Airport meeting with our staff who will welcome you to the "Pearl of Africa". Transfer to Cassia Lodge overlooking Lake Victoria / Hotel Triangle and relax the whole day. Meal plan: Dinner.
Day Two: Begin the day with breakfast, drive to the West. A stop over is made at Equator-crossing for photographs and snacks. On your way to the park, game-drive as you check in Mantana Tented Camp .After lunch, enjoy a boat ride in Lake Mburo amidst Hippos. Other animals like Crocodiles herons, African King Fisher, Fish Eagles, Pelicans, and Crested Cranes including local fishermen and fishing villages may be seen. Evening camp fire for story telling with the locals about environmental and conservation issues is arranged. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp/Arcadia Cottages. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Three: Today morning begins with African breakfast. The team gets set to go and does community work within the communities’ eco projects staying adjacent the park. Volunteer services with local Associations include constructing schools, health clinics, cultivating a community garden, making crafts or digging a road leading to a trading center. In the evening, the guests return to the camp. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Four: After breakfast make an early morning game walk in this savannah park and expect to see Warthogs, Elands, Uganda Kob, Buffaloes and many birds. After game walk drive to Mbarara for lunch at Regency Hotel or Agip Motel Mbarara. Make a scenic drive to Bwindi through big terraced hills, valleys and forests. Have dinner and an overnight at Buhoma Lodge /Buhoma Community Bandas. Evening community walk to see the lifestyle of the people staying within the gorillas is amazing. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Five: Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. After tracking, return to the Camp for late lunch. If the community walk was missed the other day, we can do that today. Dinner and an overnight at Buhoma Lodge /Buhoma Community Bandas. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Six: Today morning after breakfast, we drive to Queen via Ishasha area. This section of the park is famous for the rare tree climbing lions. We make a game drive to look for the lions. We then proceed to Mweya for lunch. In the evening, we visit Lake Katwe to see and observe the local projects for mining salt. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Mweya Lodge or Mweya Hostel. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Seven: After and early cup of African Coffee, dawn game drive in Uganda's best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant, buffalo, waterbuck, leopard, lion and Kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch enjoy Boat cruise along Kazinga channel connecting Lake Edward and George as you will see beautiful scenic Spots, large numbers of hippos, crocodiles, Buffaloes and Elephants .Meals and overnight Mweya Safari Lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day eight: Today we drive to Fort Portal via the creator region and baboon cliff for sight seeing .This an area you will enjoy most the scenery of the Mountains of the Moon following the foot hills. After lunch drive to Kibale forest for primate viewing. The dense forests offer a suitable habitat for habituated chimps, where designated nature trails have been developed to help you and your guide spot the chimps swinging on top of the trees inside cool forest. Dinner and over night at Ndali Lodge/Chimps Nest. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Nine: Today morning begins with African breakfast. The team gets set to go and does community work within the communities’ eco projects staying adjacent the park. Volunteer services with local Associations include constructing schools, health clinics, cultivating a community garden, making crafts or digging a road leading to a trading center. In the evening, the guests return to the camp for evening cultural dance performance by the village group. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Ten: Morning visit to Bigodi Bird Sanctuary for birding is a memorable experience. After the walk, drive back to Kampala for lunch and transfer to Entebbe for your flight back home. End of services.
