A THIRTEEN DAY BEST SAFARI ACROSS UGANDA TOUR CODE: NLS UG 013

 DAY ONE: Airport meeting with our staff who will welcome you to the "Pearl of Africa". Transfer to Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel and relax the whole day. M eal plan: Dinner. 

DAY TWO: Wake up ready to for African breakfast. Move to Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC) and a boat ride to Ngamba Island: 45 min in a speed boat and 1 hour on a slow boat. View the orphaned Chimps closely as they come out of the forest to feed. After snacks/lunch you return to Entebbe. Your ticket to the Island entitles you free entrance to UWEC where you will see different kinds of animals and birds including the Ecosystem in which they live. After that, drive to Kampala for Dinner and overnight at Cassia Lodge overlooking Lake Victoria. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 

DAY THREE. Begin the day with breakfast, drive to the West. A stop over is made at Equator-crossing for photographs and snacks. On your way to the park, game-drive as you check in Mantana Tented Camp .After lunch, enjoy a boat ride in Lake Mburo amidst Hippos. Other animals like Crocodiles herons, African King Fisher, Fish Eagles, Pelicans, and Crested Cranes including local fishermen and fishing villages may be seen. Evening guided walks can also be arranged. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 

DAY FOUR: After breakfast make an early morning game drive and expect to see Warthogs, Elands, Uganda Kob, Buffaloes and many birds. After game drive to Mbarara for lunch at Regency Hotel or Agip Motel Mbarara. Make a scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi via Kabale through big terraced hills, valleys and forests. Have dinner and an overnight at Heritage Lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 

DAY FIVE: Early morning boat ride sightseeing and bird watching is a life time experience. Return to the camp for lunch and drive to Bwindi for Dinner and overnight at Engagi Lodge .Evening performances to see traditional dances by the Batwa is a must! Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 

DAY SIX: Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. You may see the gorillas eating, sucking ants from a tree, swinging on vines, playing and sleeping. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. It is most rewarding animal-based experience that clients get and others would definitely do it again if given the opportunity. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. There is always an option to hire a local porter (highly recommended as it supports the local economy) who will carry your bag and literally, push you up the hills if necessary!  Dinner and over night at Engagi Lodge

DAY SEVEN: We drive to Queen Elizabeth National park via Ishasha to look for the tree climbing lion and other game, arriving for an afternoon boat ride on Kazinga channel connecting Lake Edward and George. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of birds and hippos. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing.  The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species.  Dinner and overnight at spectacular Mweya Lodge perched right on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Ugandan Great Lakes.There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch enjoy Boat cruise along Kazinga channel connecting Lake Edward and George as you will see beautiful scenic Spots, large numbers of hippos, crocodiles, Buffaloes and Elephants .Meals and overnight Mweya Safari Lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 

DAY EIGHT: After and early cup of African Coffee, dawn game drive in Uganda's best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant, buffalo, waterbuck, leopard, lion and Kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. Return to the lodge for lunch and thereafter drive to Fort Portal via the creator region and baboon cliff for sightseeing .This an area you will enjoy most the scenery of the Mountains of the Moon following the foot hills. Dinner and over night at Ndali Lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 

DAY NINE: After breakfast drive to Kibale forest for primate viewing. The dense forests offer a suitable habitat for habituated chimps, where designated nature trails have been developed to help you and your guide spot the chimps swinging on top of the trees inside cool forest. After lunch from Kanyanchu Tourist Center, visit Bigodi Bird Sanctuary for birding. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 

DAY TEN: Begin the day with breakfast. After breakfast drive to Murchison via Hoima, Masindi road through a landscape of Albertine rift escarpment engulfed with tea plantations, forests, rift valley escarpment and valleys. Visit astonishing beauty of the top of Murchison falls where the water escapes from a narrow gorge bouncing downwards 45 meters and making a constant roar and plume of rainbow .Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 

DAY ELEVEN: Begin your day with a cup of African coffee ready for a game drive, bird watching and sightseeing across the open savannah dotted woodland and riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert delta. Here expect to meet elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, waterbuck and a countless population of birds, return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, a three hour boat trip along the Nile gives you assured chance to see the falls from the bottom angle. Hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds can be seen along the shores of the River. Dinner and overnight Paraa Safari Lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 

DAY TWELVE: Wake up at 6:00am prepared for breakfast and to take a photograph of the African rising sun in the morning. At 8.00 am, cross the ferry and drive to Ziwa Rhino Project. Foot Excursion of the ranch with our guide to look for the rhinos is amazing. Lunch break.Return to Kampala at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Cassia Lodge overlooking Lake Victoria. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 

DAY THIRTEEN: Dedicated for shopping and airport transfer. Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch End of services
