Teso land is one of the finest places in Uganda to take a walking Safari. The land is occupied by Iteso, the most hospitable tribe you would ever meet in Uganda. The Iteso speak Ateso as the local traditional language but a majority of the population speaks English including elders because they love education very much. The title of Iteso cultural leader is ‘Emorimor ’.He is highly respected by all Iteso and his name is Augustine Osuban Papa Iteso. The Iteso mainly depend on agriculture as a way of earning a living. They keep animals like cattle, goats, pigs, and poultry and grow food crops like maize, sorghum millet, cassava, beans potatoes etc.One interesting thing about Teso land is beautiful scenery of open flat savannah, swamps, lakes, good climate iselbergs, and rock out crops, birds, snakes and unique culture.

Each group of visitors is accompanied by a minimum of four skilled English speaking Iteso Guides and armed security guards to ensure the utmost safety throught the safari. In case of long distance between programmed resting places, back up vehicle is used to complete the remaining journey. A part from walking, Rock climbing, birding and boat rides are supplementary activities which can be done.
The walking safari is suitable for visitors like nature lovers, photographers, researchers and walking takes approximately 4 - 8 hours daily etc.

Accommodation is basically camping in designated stop points or in medium Hotels/ villages/ Guest House/ Schools.

DAY ONE: You are warmly received by our staff from the Airport where you are driven to Pallisa Town for Dinner and overnight at country Inn Pallisa, KAS Guest House or Pallisa Missionary School.

DAY TWO: Begin the day with breakfast and parked lunch. Set off for a walk towards L. Kyoga for sight seeing and bird watching. Here you will see Hippos, swamps birds, crocodile, monkeys during the boat ride inside the lake. Back up vehicle is used to complete the remaining returning journey. Dinner and overnight at Pallisa Inn.

DAY THREE: Afer breakfast with parked lunch a walk to Oladot. On the way you expect to see schools, birds, snakes, anti hills swamps, supplementary distance is covered using back up vehicle. Dinner and over night at Oladot Ginnery [camping].

DAY FOUR: Breakfast, start a morning walks to Mukongoro trading centre .Explore the Mukongoro early man rock paintings. After lunch a walk continues to Kanyumu for Dinner and over night.

DAY FIVE: After breakfast, start morning walk to Nyero Rock Paintings. These are the oldest early man rock paintings in the world. Whole day exploring the caves. Lunch and Dinner at Kumi University.

DAY SIX: After breakfast, spend whole day exploring Rocks around Titidiek for climbing and sight seeing to view Mt. Elgon, L. Bisina and Associated swamps of Agu. Evening drive to St. Aloysius, Ngora High school, Ngora School for the Deaf is enjoyable. Dinner and over night [camping].

DAY SEVEN: After breakfast, start morning trek to KAPIR. See one of the oldest traditional home of the renown elder of Teso build between rocks, birds swamps, schools, food crops, domestic animals, anti hills etc. After lunch, climb Kapir rock to view L. Bisina and associated swamps. Dinner and overnight at Kapir trading centre.

DAY EIGHT: After breakfast, set for a walk to Soroti town. On your way see fishing sites, swamps, open savannah, Herdsmen, birds, beautiful scenery, Awoja bridge, hospitable people .For any remaining distance, back up vehicle is used to complete the journey. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at Eneku village, Soroti Guest house, Church of Uganda, Soroti Hotel, Soroti Community School.

DAY NINE: Whole day exploring Soroti town using back up vehicle and Rock climbing in the evening for sight seeing.

DAY TEN: After breakfast with parked lunch back up vehicle will drop your group to Gweri sub county Headquarters to start swamp walk up to Apapai in Kapujan Sub County, Katakwi District. Dinner and overnight at Orimai trading centre [camping].

DAY ELEVEN: Breakfasts, the whole day is spent on exploring Asubaki Etengei swamps to look for water birds including the rare Shoe bill & snakes using hired canoes.
Dinner and over night at Kelim village (camping).

DAY TWELVE: After break fast with packed lunch get set for a boat ride inside Lake Bisina to Tisai Islands for nature walk and sight seeing.
Return to Akurao landing site where back up vehicle will drop your group to Toroma trading center for dinner and overnight.

DAY THIRTEEN: The day is dedicated for visiting local markets, meeting the local people drinking local potent brew called ‘Ajon’and different cultural performances especially Akogo dance, Ajosi, Edonga and Ekirarakira. Dinner and overnight at Toroma trading center.

After breakfast, you cross Lake Bisina to Omatenga where our vehicle will pick you ready to drive back to Kampala via Kumi- Mbale- Iganga- Jinja - Kampala. A visit to Sipi falls on Mt Elgon, Source of River Nile and Bujagali falls is enjoyable. Lunch enroute.Dinner and overnight.

DAY FIFTEEN: Dedicated for shopping and departure.

i. Transportation by a 4x4 land cruiser/ 6-14 seater omni bus.
