Accessibility:
The Islands can be
accessed by road and water using two ways:
1.Kampala-Entebbe-Ssese
by ferry. Ferry departs Entebbe daily at 2:00 pm and arrives
Ssese at 5.00 Pm.Departs Ssese daily at 8.00 am and arrives Entebbe
at 12.00 pm.
2.Kampala-Masaka-
Bukakata.The ferry leaves Bukakata at 8.00am, 11.00 am and 1.00
pm and 4.00 pm daily. This route is best for guests who would
like to continue the journey to Lake Mburo National park, Lake
Bunyoyi, Bwindi or Queen.
Itinerary plan:
DAY
1: You'll be
personally met at Kampala or Entebbe town, and transferred
to the dock .The ferry leave s Entebbe exactly at 1.00 pm.
A cruise inside the fresh waters of the lake and waves fascinates
travelers. Upon landing to the islands, you will be shaken
by unspoiled eco-friendly hotels, resorts, cottages and beaches
that cater for the diverse needs of the visiting population
of tourists. Evening drive for sight seeing is worthwhile.
Overnight at Pearl Gardens Beach
DAY 2: After
breakfast, enjoy a boat cruise on the lake to various islands
inside the lake, for large numbers of birds and butterflies.
Birds found on the Ssese Islands include; parrots, turaco, flycatcher,
whale-headed Stork, many geese and herons, fish eagles, weavers
and kingfishers. Afternoon nature walk inside the forests is
a lifetime experience. Meals and overnight at Pearl Gardens Beach.

DAY 3: Dawn
breakfast ready to board the ferry at 8.00 a.m Return to Entebbe-Kampala.
For clients heading to he west, take the ferry to Bukakata ready
to proceed to Lake Mburo NP, Lake Bunyoyi, Bwindi or Queen.
Note: It is advisable
for clients to move along with their vehicles for easy movements
inside the Islands.

ACTIVITIES WHILE IN SSESE ISLANDS
1.Bird watching
2.Visiting the chimps at Ngamba Islands
3.Sporting activities like biking, soccer
and Netball.
4.Cultural performances
For those who are interested in only beach activities
there are a wide range of water sports including Big sport
Fishing, Diving, Romantic cruises along
the lake.
Common species of fish caught is Nile Perch and
Tilapia.
